To set up some particular functions, you might need to send a command to the printer. 

This can be done in few ways, the easiest is to use either GoDoctor or GoLabel:

1. GoDoctor is a small useful tool for service technicians. It is basically an executable file (no need to install) that has few buttons with predefined commands as well as, you can input the command manually or make your own buttons with predefined functions/commands.

Extract the archive and run GoDoctor.exe on the left most upper corner you will find a button Port:

You can search and select the needed model here, the selected model will be shown on the bottom part of the GoDoctor window. 

Click on the "Command Mode", an area to input the command will appear and you can input the command into it, after that click "Send". Alternatively, if you have the command set in a text file, you can also choose "Send file" and select the needed file. 

If you will choose "Customize" you can also predefine your own buttons of often used functions: 

e.g. the full factory default that will erase everything and set all settings back to default:

After doing so, you will have your own buttons in the TAB Customize (simple, yet very practical for repetetive tasks of a technician).

2. GoLabel. Another possible way is to use Command Area in GoLabel and send the commands through it: 

3. Windows Driver. It is also possible to send the command via Windows driver, go to Printer Properties window, select Tools tab, Action -> Send Printer Command. 

4. Printer Webserver (if printer is connected via IP port, you can input the IP address of the printer in the browser and access the webserver of the printer, default credntials are login: admin and pass: 1111)

There are also other possibilities like Hyperterminal, telnet, ftp and similar, yet, they are more advanced and used less often, so in case you would require such communication, please apply to Godex tech team for more information on that.
