Problem: Cutter stacker does not cut full width any more
Problem example video from customer:
We see that only the left part of the label is cut. Customer is cutting satin textile material. Satin is soft and more demanding material than nylon or paper. From the video it seems that most likelly the issue is worn blades, however before replacing the blades to new or resharpened ones, it is possible to readjust the blade crossing and use the same blades for a while.
The procedure how to adjust the blade crossing is shown visually here: https://youtu.be/Iw-Pmbh38HM?si=dE2QoFDNYI4NXJ9X&t=274 If you are doing this for the first time, please watch the full video before starting to see the generall disassembly/reassembly procedures of the Cutter Stacker unit.
IMPORTANT:
1. When adjusting blade crossing, the upper blade tension spring must be loose:
2. It is a must to use Feeler Gauge for the correct blade gap measurment/adjustment. Target gap between blades is ~0,2-0,3 mm (making adjustments "from the eye" and/or setting too big blade crossing might result in premature wear of the blades)
3. When measuring the GAP between blades, the upper blade must be on the lowest position and the tip of the upper blade must be pushed/hold towards the lower blade.
4. The blade crossing/gap between blades adjutment is made by turning the grub screws on the right side of the lower blade.
5. When adjusting the grub screws please make sure that the blade screws are loose enough to let the blade skewing adjustment. However when blade crossing measurment is made, the lower blade should be stable.
Another possible cause of not cutting the full width could be the position of upper blade. However this is more applicable in cases when wider labels are cut. The adjustment procedure is shown here: https://youtu.be/Iw-Pmbh38HM?si=tgtKFejhxWmxHhZz&t=344
