Godex Pro Series core advantages:
- PDF Direct print. Today PDF files are used everywhere. Normally a driver is needed to convert the file to format that is “understood” by the printer, with PDF Direct print you can simply “drop” the whole file with its embedded fonts, encoding, etc. directly to the printer and it will be printed, eliminating the need for middleware. PDF Direct function helps to simplify the programing and enables universality, as you do not need to learn and tie with some particular printer language. PDF files after printing can be archived and used for reference in case of any issues or so.
Files can be sent over various methods, you can use our EZio DLL Library, read the file into a “byte array” and send it via EZioApi.sendbuf() function, you can copy it via command line, FTP or similar. For more information, please see this article, at the very bottom of the page there is also some demo application that works as a “Watch dog” – it monitors a folder and when a new PDF appears, sends it automatically via FTP and moves the file to another folder: https://www.godex.lu/content/8/86/en/how-to-use-directpdf-print-and-godex-pro-printers-series.html?highlight=pdf

- WiFi/BT Dongle support. To provide even more universality, Godex Pro Series models support third party WiFi/BT dongles. Different applications have different requirements, with USB dongle of your choice, we can effectively address all of these different needs, whether you need 5 GHz or 2,4, with or without external Antenna, WPA3 Enterprise or any other.
- 802.1x support. 802.1X network differs from simple networks in one major way: every device that connects has a unique form of validating its identity, rather than all sharing the same Wi-Fi password. 802.1x does this by utilizing a RADIUS server, whose sole purpose is checking a user's credentials to see if they are an active member of the organization and, depending on the network policies, grants users varying levels of access to the network. This allows unique credentials or certificates to be used per user, eliminating the reliance on a single network password that can be easily stolen. It’s much more secure than using a single password to gate network access and is widely considered the gold standard for both wired and wireless network security.
- A lot more memory on board and Linux OS. The table below shows the main spec’s of the Pro Series. Industrial Pro models have more advanced specs, but desktop ones are also powerful enough to cope with demanding applications and onboard processing of special tasks. Linux OS compared to older proprietary OS’es enables easy further development of functions on board, thanks to standardized development environment and existing SDK’s.
