Standalone CSV Database in Godex label printer. Remote update

For some working places it is important to have standalone label printing solution and update the information from time to time. All Godex label printers with USB Host interfaces are capable of handling the CSV/DBF Standalone operation. Also it is possible to remotely update the files in the printer if the printer is connected to the network.

Below is a simple example/tutorial how to set this up.

We have a simple text file (CSV):

Also we make a simple label in GoLabel2 that includes information from the CSV Database:

When we create the file in GoLabel 2, we select Download label to the printer (or USB, if desired), select AUTOFR and Automatic quantity 1:

And load the files to the printer, restart the printer and test the file.

To update the files in the printer, you first need to get out of the AUTOFR, to do that, the easiest way is to select "Advanced->Exit AutoFR" in GoLabel 2:

One label will be printed and it will get back to Ready Screen (you should be using AUTOFR to get back to Ready, if you entered the Standalone via "Recall label", it will return to select label screen).

Once in Ready Mode, delete the needed files first

And then, reconnect to the modified DB and load the files to the printer. After the files are loaded, select "Restart Printer". It will reboot back into the AUTOFR:
