How to upgrade Firmware on BT/WiFi Combo ESP32
ESP32 WiFi Combo Firmware update process
Printer should be connected to the network over WiFi and you need the IP address that this printer gets from network. This IP you can find from Self-test page or from GoDoctor for example. Then you need to enter this IP in web browser and you will get the screen like below.
There you have two Buttons. “ WiFi” and “ OTA”. This second one “ OTA” is used for FW upgrade. When you click on this button you will get something like on the screen below:
Below the button „ OTA Upgrade” you can see the actual FW version under the “AT Core Version”. In this example it is 2.5.0.0
For FW upgrade you need to select the location of the file with the newest firmware with button “ Browse” and after that click on OTA upgrade. After the upgrade is finish you will get the message on the screen.
After that you need to restart the printer, let the printer connect again to the network. When you again type the IP adress in browser, you ill get the new design of the OTA screen, which is updated with the new functionalities like on the picture below
For any future FW upgrade you will just need to choos from drop down menu “ota” and to do the same with the newer Firmware, if any….
